A Wonderful Bird is the Pelican by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" canvas giclée, unframed. "After the Rain" by Terry Isaac. "The great blue heron is a regal and stately bird, and one of my favorite birds to paint. With a wingspread of five-and-a-half to six feet, it is our largest heron. The great blue, or "GBH," as birders affectionately refer to it, lives in a variety of habitats - streams, ponds, marshes, mud flats, lakeshortes, rivers - in both salt and fresh water areas. The heron's primary foods are aquatic species (fish, crayfish, frogs, etc.); however, they also feed in fields on mice and voles. The heron I've depicted is stalking a fish. Herons are expert and patient fishermen. This heron's patience will soon be amply rewarded as it hunts in a marsh after the rain." ~Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition (99) museum quality canvas giclée, with the image measuring 15.125 x 19". Angel Wings by Terry Isaac. Unframed 9" x 9" limited edition canvas giclée. "Dragonflies intrigue me; the way their wings sparkle like diamonds, they almost seem like they are from another time. This particular dragonfly I photographed on an unopened iris bud and I couldn’t resist painting it." - Terry Isaac.
Arctic Home by Terry Isaac. This is a museum quality 20 x 30" limited edition giclée on canvas, unframed. This painting was inspired by a trip to Churchill, Manitoba. This was the trip of a lifetime. Polar bears without question are one of my most favorite animals. They are both attractive and dangerous. Polar bear mothers congregate in large dens close to Churchill and give birth to their cubs. Their dens are warm and protected - this is the moment I have captured in "Arctic Home." - Terry Isaac. "Arctic Reflections" by Terry Isaac. Museum quality 12.5 x 36" canvas giclée, unframed.
Bandit Buddies by Terry Isaac. Raccoons are mischievous and playful, and the hollow of this tree is the perfect place for them to scan the world around them and plot their next move. These little bandits are cute as can be, but can also be little thieves if given the opportunity. I just couldn’t resist painting this adorable pair, as bandit buddies. This is a limited-edition museum quality 9 x 12" canvas giclée, unframed. Batemans Flowers, by Terry Isaac
Museum quality 14 x 22" canvas giclée. "In the summer of 2008, my family and I were lucky enough to visit Robert and Birgit Bateman at their home on Saltspring Island, BC. After dinner two of my boys were wrestling on a mat on the deck. Long after we got home I printed the photograph I had taken of them and immediately noticed the vivid colors of the flowers behind them and thought it would make a wonderful painting. Robert was responsible for me becoming a professional artist and it is an honor to name a painting after him." - Terry Isaac. Bighorn Sheep in Jasper by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition museum quality 9 x 12" unframed canvas giclée. Bird Girl, by Terry Isaac
Limited edition canvas 11.5 x 20" giclée. "John Berendt wrote Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil in 1994. On the cover of his book, and also in the movie, a statue of Bird Girl was featured. I have had the good pleasure of spending many wonderful nights in a beautiful bed and breakfast in Fuqua-Varina, North Carolina and in their garden they have a replica of that very statue. When I was photographing it, a female cardinal sat on one side. I knew there was a painting idea in the making. I added the male for balance and visual interest, it is up to the viewer on which is good or evil!" - Terry Isaac. Bison and Moon by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 19 x 41" museum quality canvas giclée. Bluebird and Balsam Root by Terry Isaac. Museum quality 14.5 x 30" giclée on canvas, unframed. Bluebird in Aspens by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition museum quality, unframed 9 x 12" canvas giclee. Brambles and Brass Buttons by Terry Isaac. Limited edition, unframed canvas 24 x 9" giclée . "Quail are often seen in a covey - a group of quail ranging from just two to over fifty. I enjoy the feather pattern and the detail on quail. Although I see them in the open, they often take cover as they are the food source for many animals and birds of prey. This male quail is taking cover in the vegetation and becomes lost in the brambles and brass buttons." - Terry Isaac. By the Gate by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed, limited edition 21 x 31" canvas giclée. This image was selected by Ducks Unlimited for their artists' portfolio. Call of Autumn by Terry Isaac . Unframed limited-edition canvas 14 x 37" giclée. "The Bald Eagle is one of North America's largest and most powerful birds of prey. Their majestic stature has allowed them to become a national symbol for the United States of America. Every time I see one I get a thrill. This painting started with seeing this particular scene. I was intrigued with both rich fall colors and misty atmosphere. I couldn't resist adding the majestic eagle, making his call to autumn." - Terry Isaac. Canadian Icons by Terry Isaac. Unframed, limited-edition 14-3/4 x 21” canvas giclée. "I had the privilege and pleasure of travelling to Churchill, Manitoba, in early November a few years back. This was a trip of a lifetime for me. I saw polar bears in the wild and spent three days on a tundra buggy, photographing these magnificent animals. While I was there I also saw and photographed this inuksuk. I thought the combination of the polar bear, with the inukshuk, would make the perfect Canadian iconic image." - Terry Isaac. Cardinal and Dogwood by Terry Isaac. Unframed, limited-edition, museum quality 12 x 15" canvas giclée. "I really like dogwood trees. I saw these blossoms in later afternoon, dappled light and knew it would be a setting for a painting. Since the blossoms are white and neutral in color I thought a brightly colored bird would make a nice combination. I happened to see a bright red cardinal shortly after taking the photograph of the blossoms and thought that it would be the perfect subject." - Terry Isaac.
Cardinal and Sumac by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed 10.5 x 21.5" limited edition canvas giclée.
Caught by Light by Terry Isaac. Unframed limited edition 28 x 18.5" canvas giclée. "As the sun breaks through the mist in an old oak forest, a great horned owl, perched on a ball of moss and ferns, is caught in a beam, suddenly aware of light and warmth. This is more a painting of light than a painting of an owl; it was the beams of light that inspired me to paint this scene. I included the owl, a bird of the night, as an element of contrast. The moment of light was transitory and the owl vanished on soundless wings." - Terry Isaac. "Center of Attention" by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition, museum quality unframed 18.25 x 28" canvas giclée. Chasing Rainbows by Terry Isaac. Limited edition 8 x 26" canvas giclée. "River otters are both playful and gregarious. Although they eat a variety of food items, fish seem to be one of their favorites. This otter appears to be having fun chasing the rainbow. While painting this piece I really thought about my journey as an artist and the term "chasing rainbows" appears to fit how I view my art. I am always striving to make my "best" painting but that goal always appears to be out of reach." - Terry Isaac. Chickadee and Pink Gladiolas by Terry Isaac. Unframed limited-edition 16.5 x 6.5" canvas giclée. "I have long enjoyed the combination of birds in a flower setting. I saw these particular gladiolas in my neighbor's garden and managed to capture them with interesting light. I like scenes where the background is somewhat dark and the subject is illuminated in light. Chickadees are, without a doubt, my favorite song bird and I thought the neutral colors of the chickadee and the sun drenched blossoms created a very pleasing arrangement of color, light and composition." - Terry Isaac Chickadee on Sumac by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition museum quality unframed 9 x 12" canvas giclée. Chilling Out by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition museum quality 9 x 12" unframed canvas giclée. Clown of the Sea by Terry Isaac. This is a 9 x 12" limited-edition, museum quality unframed canvas giclée. Colors of Zion by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality 12 x 36" canvas giclée. Dash of Color by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed, museum quality 18 x 6" canvas giclée. "Chickadees are one of my favorite birds to paint. They are common birds and people are familiar with seeing them. These beautiful flowers were in my neighbor’s front yard. The vivid colors of the flowers makes for a wonderful backdrop for the little bird." Terry Isaac Disappearing Footprints by Terry Isaac. Unframed 30 x 23.5" canvas giclée. "When I traveled to Churchill, Manitoba to photograph polar bears, I was struck by the simplicity of their massive environment and the naïve playfulness of their nature. I spent several days in a tundra buggy entranced by these wonderful bears, but I was also hit with the stark realization that these beautiful creatures are disappearing, like their footprints in the snow. My composition is as simple as the title." Terry Isaac. Eagle Falls by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality, 34 x 13" canvas giclée. Eagle's Nest by Terry Isaac This is a limited-edition, museum quality, 20 x 21.5" canvas giclee. English Robin by Terry Isaac. 8 x 10". I had the privilege and pleasure of going to Wales a few years back with my family. When I was there, I saw an English Robin for the first time in my life, and also saw the fence that he was standing on, and thought it would make the perfect combination for a painting. In this painting I tried to capture the dreary weather in contrast to the warmth of the robin's colors. Face Off by Terry Isaac. Unframed, limited-edition museum quality 19.25 x 28.875" canvas giclée. “I chose a simple composition for this painting. The background is minimal, as is the habitat of a polar bear. Its domain is miles and miles of ice floe and Arctic coastline - white, blue and gray. A strong light source is muted by tiny crystals of ice floating in the air. The polar bear coat, or pelage, yellowed by years, confronts us. The next move is up to us.” ~ Terry Isaac Fall Colors by Terry Isaac. Unframed, museum quality 12 x 38" canvas giclée. "October is traditionally crisp and colorful. Golds, reds, oranges and yellows have taken over the once green landscape. Many northern birds have retreated south to softer climates, but the eastern blue jay remains - a cool and often raucous flash of blue amid autumn's warm hues. Days grow shorter. Time seems more precious. The blue jay ignores all - cocky, shrill, making its presence known among the fall colors." Terry Isaac. Framing is available. Feather and Bones by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality, 25 x 17" canvas giclée. Framing is available. Feather Bed by Terry Isaac. Loons are such an icon of quiet lakes in the mountains, with their calls echoing off the mountains. A loon and her chicks are a precious view, as she is ever watchful of Eagles and other predatory animals that might snatch them away. This is available as a 13 x 8" limited edition (99 only) museum quality canvas giclee. Field of Dreams (triptych) by Terry Isaac. Unframed, three piece 35.5 x 6", 35.5 x 16", 35.5 x 10" canvas giclées. "This is the first triptych I have ever painted. In this piece I wanted to create a quiet, peaceful mood. I kept the design clean and simple and attempted to create the feeling of movement with the mist drifting between the panels. I came across this scene early one morning on one of my reference gathering trips and knew I had to paint it." Terry Isaac. Fish-Eye View by Terry Isaac. Unframed, museum quality 12 x 12" canvas giclée. "The reference for this painting was given to me. I thought it was a unique perspective. The photographer was in a boat when he photographed the osprey. When I saw the reference I imagined being the fish and what could perhaps be my last view!!!" Terry Isaac. Forces of Nature by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality, 12 x 36" canvas giclée. Freedom Run by Terry Isaac. Museum quality, unframed 21 x 30" canvas giclée. "This painting is all about the carefree side of nature. I was inspired to paint these horses as there is a herd of them living in the area around my home. Each horse is different and their beauty, grace and power never more evident than when they are running together. They appear to be having fun as they run through the lush green pasture." Terry Isaac. Friend or Foe? by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality, unframed 7 x 15" canvas giclee. Frost Fire by Terry Isaac. Museum quality limited-edition 13.5 x 18" canvas giclée. "One of the most loved and recognizable songbirds of North America is the cardinal. With the male's striking red coloration and touches of black on his face and throat, the cardinal is a bird that is very easy to identify. This painting was first inspired by seeing the frosty blackberry leaves and I thought the bold fiery color of the bird would be a great combination." Terry Isaac. Gaining Speed by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed, limited-edition. museum quality 16.25 x 37" canvas giclée. "Wolves are one of my favorite predators. This painting is really about showing movement and trying to create a sense of depth. I purposely muted the wolf in the background to enhance the feeling of the main wolf coming straight at the viewer. The cool colors and soft snow reflect the elements that face these rugged wolves." Terry Isaac Garden Rose by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition. museum quality 9 x 16.5" canvas giclée with UV protection. "The American Goldfinch is a beautiful looking and sounding songbird. Rather than putting the goldfinch with contrasting colors, I enjoyed hiding him within the roses, a visual surprise." Terry Isaac
Ghosts of the North by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed, museum quality limited-edition 9 x 12" canvas giclée. Golden Majesty by Terry Isaac. This is a museum quality limited-edition 20 x 30" canvas giclée. Goldfinch and Lilac by Terry Isaac. 10 x 11". "Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers. I really like their scent and color. Goldfinches develop what is known as "breeding" plumage and this happens in the spring and summer - the same time as the lilacs are in bloom. The yellow of the male goldfinch and the violet of the blossoms make the perfect color compliment. " Terry Isaac. This is available at a museum quality stretched canvas giclée. Grand Canyon Raven by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition museum quality 9 x 12" canvas giclée, unframed. Guardians of the Rainforest by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality 9.5 x 24" canvas giclée, unframed. Harvest Time by Terry Isaac. Museum quality, limited-edition 18 x 8.5" canvas giclée. "Chickadees are my favorite song birds. I live in an area where vineyards are common and in the late summer sun the vines are an interesting play of colors. I wanted to capture the essence of the fall harvest when the grapes are almost ready for picking and the summer is almost over. The warmth of the scene suggests that the chickadee and the grapes are basking in the last remaining rays of the sun." Terry Isaac Heads or Tails by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality 21 x 12" canvas giclée. "River otters are charming. They seem to enjoy “play” of any kind. They like to make earth slides into the water, returning again and again for another turn. In this painting I wanted to show the playful side as the otter is seen chasing two rainbow trout, however, we have to wonder which one will he choose for lunch?" Terry Isaac. Hearts Aglow by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality 7 x 17" canvas giclée. Hint of Pink by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, 18 x 6" museum quality canvas giclée. "The house finch can be found in a variety of habitats. It is a bird I commonly see at my backyard feeders. Springtime is my favorite time of year. I love seeing the variety of flowers that are in bloom. I also enjoy seeing birds in flowering trees - before the arrival of the new spring leaves. The birds can be more easily seen then. With the hint of pink blossoms and the background, I thought the house finch would create a nice focal point." Terry Isaac. Holly Buddy by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition canvas 8.5 x 11" giclée. Chickadees are my favorite song bird. I saw this particular holly plant looking out my window from my old studio in Oregon and thought the combination of the Chickadee and Holly would make a festive winter composition. Horse Whispering by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition 9 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée, unframed. Icy Intent by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 20 x 30" museum quality canvas giclée. "Snow leopards fascinate me. They are both beautiful and endangered. Designed for mountainous terrain, these cats maneuver with ease and agility. They have an extra long tail which helps with balance when jumping from rock to rock and large paws for grip on the snow covered surfaces. Like all cats the snow leopard is a predator. This one is on pursuit in its icy domain." Terry Isaac. In the Autumn Light by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 20 x 32.5" museum quality canvas giclée. In the Den by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition 9 x 11" museum quality canvas giclée. "I couldn't help but paint this scene. The pups are alone, probably while the adults are out finding food. Their home made in the ground provides shelter and warmth and the overgrown grass hides them somewhat from any potential harm outside. They appear to have just woken from a good nap and are secure with each other "In The Den"." Terry Isaac. In the Pines by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed museum quality canvas giclée. In the Pink by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 18 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée. "Black-capped chickadees are found in open woodlands, clearings and suburban areas - usually foraging in thickets and tree branches. They are a favorite visitor to my bird feeder. This one picked a more exotic setting – a pink magnolia tree in a nearby park. The fleeting bounce of light and the bouncing energy of this small bird seemed compatible and inspired me to paint one “in the pink”. " Terry Isaac. In the Shallows by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed museum quality canvas giclée. In the Vineyard by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 16 x 22" museum quality canvas giclée. "In the area where I live I see quail and an abundance of vineyards every day. To a certain extent I am what is called a "regionalist" artist - I paint what I see in my backyard and local geographical area. I saw this particular scene of grapes and found the color and dappled light inspirational. I wanted to place both the quail and the viewer of the painting in the vineyard. " Terry Isaac Iris Portrait by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed museum quality canvas giclée. Kindred Spirits by Terry Isaac. Limited edition 19.25 x 12.25" unframed, museum quality canvas giclée. The top of this totem pole is a “thunderbird.” Both thunderbirds and ravens have significance in First Nations and Native American culture. I saw this particular totem pole in Alert Bay, BC. It was carved by Willie Seaweed in the 1930’s. The thunderbird is a mythical creature, a supernatural bird with power and strength and I thought that the combination of it and a “real” bird would be a magical blend. King of the Coop by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, unframed 18 x 18" museum quality canvas giclée. "Light and Mist" by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 17.5 x 35" museum quality canvas giclée. Light of Africa by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition of only 99, unframed 24 x 20" museum quality canvas giclée. Looking Back by Terry Isaac. This was Terry's final painting before his passing on July 16, 2019. The painting, and its title, give us pause to stop and think. Terry was taken from us far too soon. We hope Terry is "Looking Back" on his life with great pleasure and pride, although he was such a humble man. This is a limited-edition 20 x 20" museum quality canvas giclée, limited to only 99 prints. This is only published by Ghost Bear Enterprises, Terry's family business. We have a few framed and available in Penticton, ready to go. Lookout by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed museum quality canvas giclée. "Lovers at the Inn" by Terry Isaac. Making Friends by Terry Isaac. This is a limited ediiton 16 x 24" museum quality canvas giiclée. "Many animals rely on body language to communicate. Horses definitely fall into this category. I watched these horses nuzzle each other for several minutes; to me it showed affection and closeness. The light and shadow on their faces helps to delineate the uniqueness of each animal and their proximity to each other shows that they are getting along well." Terry Isaac. Manning Park Moose by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed museum quality canvas giclée. Midsummer Dreams by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 21 x 15.75" museum quality canvas giclée . "To the observer, the fleeting appearance of a hummingbird on an early midsummer morning is almost dreamlike. A blur of wings, a flash of color, then gone, like a dream. The hummingbird is a cherished garden visitor. " Terry Isaac Morning Reflections by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 14 x 11" museum quality canvas giclée. Morning Stroll by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed canvas giclée. Mother and Pup by Terry Isaac. Mother's Love by Terry Isaac. Limited edition, unframed 9 x 22" museum quality canvas giclée. Mother's Milk by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed, stretched 10 x 10" museum quality canvas giclée. "This painting was a commission. A newly married couple on their honeymoon took the reference on their cell phone. This scene was from just around the corner from my gallery in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. The subject was endearing and they asked me to paint it for them." Terry Isaac Moving Day by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality 9 x 12" unframed canvas giclée. Mussel Inlet Estuary by Terry Isaac. Unframed, stretched 20 x 30" limited edition museum quality canvas giclée. Necking by Terry Isaac. Stretched, unframed limited edition 10 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée. "Swans are elegant and a symbol of nature's beauty. During their courtship they are extremely affectionate and appear to act out a graceful water ballet. As swans are known to mate for life I thought it would be nice to capture the closeness between them in a painting." Terry Isaac New Friends by Terry Isaac. Stretched, unframed 9 x 11" museum quality canvas giclée. "I was inspired to paint “New Friends” after watching the movie “March of the Penguins,” although I had seen and photographed penguins I did not know much about their extraordinary lifecycle. I wanted to depict the tender side of these animals – with the meeting of two young Emperor Penguins about to embark on their long journey." Terry Isaac. Okanagan Bluffs by Terry Isaac. Stretched, unframed 6.5 x 25" museum quality canvas giclee. "I have lived in the Okanagan for a few years now and I am always astounded by its beauty. Whilst in the search for a property that would accommodate both a studio and a gallery my family and I were lucky enough to rent a house on the Naramata Bench, near Penticton, with a great view of Okanagan Lake. After a year of looking out of the window from my makeshift basement studio I decided I wanted to paint one of the very few purely landscape pieces I have produced to date." Terry Isaac. On Target by Terry Isaac. 20 x 33". The Bald Eagle, a long time symbol of strength, beauty and power, is a bird that I am always excited to see. These eagles don’t get their white heads until they are about five years old. The pose of this eagle is one where it is about to land, but regardless of if it is on a branch or on prey his intent is obvious. The eagle is definitely on target. On the Fence by Terry Isaac. Stretched, unframed (meadowlark) limited-edition 9 x 21.75" museum quality canvas giclée.
On The Lookout by Terry Isaac. Stretched, unframed 24.5 x 11.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "North America’s smallest falcon, the kestrel, is a beautiful bird of prey. I thought this old fence post and barbed wire fence provided interesting visual texture to a bleached out summer day. The kestrel is on the lookout for its next meal and blends perfectly into the scene. These birds usually prefer open country for their hunting and foraging and from the vantage point of the fence post this bird might just be in luck!" Terry Isaac. On the Move by Terry Isaac. The is a newly released limited edition 19.5 x 30.25" museum quality canvas giclée. We say new because the original was painted and sold in 2008, but reproductions were never made. We have the high resolution images, so reproducing this beautiful painting is possible. On the Rocks by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed museum quality canvas giclée. Have you seen our Pacific West Coast Mountain Goats? They are so majestic! On the Run (Bighorn) by Terry Isaac. Limited edition 48 x 33" stretched, museum quality canvas giclée. Orchard Quail by Terry Isaac. Stretched, limited edition 14 x 10" museum quality canvas giclée. "California quail are favorites of mine. I admire their markings, their jaunty feathered top knots and their movements as they scurry around on the ground. In the winter quail are gregarious. In spring and summer they become more solitary. Often a single male on top of a fence post or branch acts as guard and sentinel for the covey nearby. In the Okanagan, where I now live, both quail and orchards are prevalent so I wanted to re-release this piece as a giclée to capture the local wildlife." Terry Isaac Out of the Blue by Terry Isaac. Stretched, limited edition 18.75 x 40" museum quality canvas giclée. Can you feel the cold of the snow with the wolf emerging through the shade? Peek-a-Boo by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 8 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée. " Young animals are typically inquisitive and playful. This bobcat kitten is no exception. Very much like their domestic cousin, the house cat, they spend much of their time playing. I observed this little guy with his paw at a low growing plant and it looked like he was playing peek-a-boo with it and hence the inspiration for the painting." Terry Isaac.

Raven and Moon by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 11 x 16" museum quality canvas giclée. "Most of my paintings are inspired by a particular setting rather than by a specific subject, but in this case the subject clearly inspired me. To portray the raven’s regal stature, handsome form, and reputed intelligence, I chose a clean, spare design having Zen-like simplicity. This austerity is in sharp contrast to my more complex works that have distinct foregrounds, middle grounds, and backgrounds." Terry Isaac.
"Raven and Totem" by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 10.5 x 13" museum quality canvas giclée. Red Finch and Apples by Terry Isaac. Available as a limited edition 10 x 10" museum quality canvas giclée. Regal Throne by Terry Isaac. 32 x 42" The Siberian tiger is the largest cat on our planet. I think they are strikingly beautiful. This is a male and he is truly the king of the beasts. He is settled into the snow with his colorful coat contrasting against the white of winter as he surveys the land from his regal throne.
Rocky Trails by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 30.75 x 24" museum quality canvas giclée. "Mountain goats have an amazing sense of balance. They are designed for climbing and surviving in mountainous areas. They travel to higher elevations in the summer months and drop down to lower elevations during the harsh winter months. I enjoyed painting their light colored bodies against the dark rocks. These goats are travelling up a steep incline - a true rocky trail." Terry Isaac.
Rufous and Rhodies by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 7.5 x 16.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "I have for a long time been interested in the combination of birds and flowers as subjects for paintings. Because I don't have much of a green thumb, these "rhodies" were in my neighbor's yard - they were sunlit against dark vegetation- which is my favorite kind of lighting. I added the ruby throat as I thought it would add a softness to the scene. To imply movement I rendered the hummingbird with soft edges. I hope the viewer of the piece enjoys it as much as I enjoyed painting it." Terry Isaac.
"Rufous Hummingbird" by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 10 x 10" museum quality canvas giclée, unframed. Rufous with Lilies by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" unframed, museum quality canvas giclée. Running on a Cloud by Terry Isaac. This is an unframed, limited edition, 13.63 x 48" canvas giclee. Rust and Blue by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 18 x 22.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "This painting started by seeing this particular wagon wheel with the California Poppies growing underneath it. I loved the vintage western feel, and thought the Western Bluebird with similar colors would fit well in the composition. " Terry Isaac.
***We do have one framed and available at the gallery.

Most owls have a special serration on the outside lining of their wing feathers. This allows for nearly silent flight. I saw this owl at a birds of prey show at a local zoo and when I photographed it flying straight toward me, I knew I had to paint it in an extreme horizontal format." Terry Isaac.
Sowing Seeds by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée. "Spirit Guide" by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 12.5 x 24" museum quality canvas giclée. "Spirit Island Moose" by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 12.5 x 36" museum quality canvas giclée.
Spring Light Cardinal by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 14.25 x 8.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "Birds and flowers are combinations I have enjoyed painting for many years. Cardinals make quite a visual statement, particularly the male with his beautiful scarlet color. The reason I like painting birds and flowers is because they are what I see on a regular basis. I was taken with the strong back lighting on the white blossoms and thought the cardinal would make the perfect focal point." Terry Isaac
Spring Song by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 9.5 x 7" museum quality canvas giclée. "Bush-tits are often seen in groups. They are energetic, small, gray birds found in the West. They travel in noisy flocks. The flowers in this painting are ornamental plum tree blossoms from my backyard in Salem, Oregon. The blossoms have such rich color, and the birds are drab in comparison. However, these birds may seem insignificant in the grand palette but they make quite a vocal statement, creating their own spring song." Terry Isaac
Springtime Chickadee by Terry Isaac. Limited-edition, museum quality 7 x 20" canvas giclée. Standing Tall by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée. Steam Bath by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition, museum quality 12 x 12" canvas giclée. Steller's Jay and Dogwood by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 18 x 12.5" museum quality canvas giclée. Storm Watch by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edtion 20 x 30" museum quality canvas giclée. "The grizzly and the lightning have some commonalities - both are unpredictable, fascinating, potentially dangerous and potentially lethal. Here, the crack of thunder and the flash of lightning attract the wary attention of the grizzly who shares many attributes with the sudden thunderstorm." Terry Isaac
"I draw my inspiration from observing nature, always on the lookout for “magical moments.” Seeing a particular setting is what usually initially inspires me. I then consider which bird or mammal will go well with that scene. I like to capture particularity, avoid stylizing, and expose the uniqueness that everything in nature possesses. I edit and manipulate the composition until I am satisfied, use abstract shapes and create a painting that has a sense of depth. I work background to foreground – general to specific, striving to create something that is captivating and pleasing to look at. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do something I have such a passion and love for." I was lucky enough to be with a group of artists that were invited to the Great Bear Rain Forest. One of the small villages we visited was called Klemtu. There I saw several totem poles. This one attracted my eye. At the same time I was seeing this totem, I was also seeing several ravens flying by and resting on some of the other totem poles. This idea very much intrigued me. Ravens have much significance in myths and legends of indigenous people. I thought the marriage between the raven and totem was a perfect combination. ~ Terry Isaac, artist. Storyteller by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 18 x 48" museum quality canvas giclée. A lithograph is also available. Summertime Blues by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 10 x 18" museum quality canvas giclée. "The bluebird is a welcome touch of color to any garden. I decided to pair it with complimentary blooms of pink and purple typical of summer, and have it sitting on a greyed-out fence post. The warm scene brings to mind a lazy sun-drenched afternoon where beauty is abundant and troubles are forgotten." Terry Isaac. Sunbathers by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 21 x 15.75" museum quality canvas giclée. "Agile and active, chickadees seem in perpetual motion. Often in groups, these small birds are regulars at backyard feeders, including mine, feasting on the sunflower seeds we provide. Sunflowers turn towards the sun. This particular flower is immature, but still in a good place for the black-capped chickadee to find a meal of insects or spiders . . . or the birds could just be sunbathing, like the sunflower." Terry Isaac.
Survivors by Terry Isaac. Limited edition 15 x 25" museum quality canvas giclée. "For hundreds of years bison have been used in North American culture for meat, hides, clothes, tools etc. No part of them was wasted. At one point their numbers were in the millions. Then they were slaughtered to the point of near extinction. On private reserves and in Yellowstone Park their numbers are increasing. In nature they are capable of enduring harsh conditions. They are true survivors and a recognizable symbol of the West." Terry Isaac. Tag, You're It! by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" museum quality unframed canvas giclée. The Good Place (Wolves) by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 15.5 x 36" museum quality canvas giclée. "Tiger Love" is one of Terry's last paintings. It is available as a limited-edition, museum quality 9 x 12" canvas giclée. Togetherness by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 20 x 30" museum quality canvas giclée. "Otters fascinate me. They seem to be very intelligent and loving creatures. They have more hair per square inch than any other mammal, which provides them insulation and buoyancy. They use "tools" to crack open crabs and their favorite abalone shells. They are also very affectionate. I happened to witness this pair of otters holding paws. For me it was a magical moment that showed true togetherness." Terry Isaac.
Touch of Red by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 18 x 6" museum quality canvas giclée. "The Downy Woodpecker is a frequent visitor to the bird feeder in my backyard. This type of woodpecker is widespread throughout North America. I thought it would be interesting to paint this woodpecker in a winter setting - with essentially a bare aspen tree. The black and white bark repeats the pattern of the feathering on the bird. The only saturated color is the red on the back of the male's head." Terry Isaac.
Trace of Blue by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 18 x 6" museum quality canvas giclée. "During one fall I had several art shows on the East Coast. In between shows, I had some time for a little fieldwork. On route to a nature reserve, I happened to spot some wild blueberries growing on the side of the road. I was intrigued with the idea of painting them. The subtle pattern of the winter wren's feathers is accentuated with the trace of blue color from the blueberries placed throughout the painting." Terry Isaac. (This is part of Seasonal Quartet, a four part series.)
Visitor in Blue by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 21" x 14.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "Originally I had planned to paint a cardinal with this floral scene, but once I started to paint it in I realized that it wasn’t going to work; the color scheme was wrong. I then opted to put in an Eastern Blue Jay and this worked much better with the colors of the flowers. The dramatic lighting on the flowers caught my eye and although Jays can be annoying and loud, they are beautiful birds and the combination is magical." Terry Isaac.
Windswept, by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 14.75 x 4.75" museum quality canvas giclée. "On a reference trip, I photographed this horse, and at the time, the wind was really blowing. Seeing the mane on this horse blowing in the wind instantly inspired this painting. Capturing the magic of the movement and the beauty of the horse is what this painting is all about." Terry Isaac.
Wings on Water by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 20 x 30" quality canvas giclée. "With my paintings I strive to capture magical moments in nature and these Trumpeter Swans provided one! Swans are a symbol of elegance and beauty in our natural world. With their wings open and illuminated by sunlight, the "magic" is obvious." Terry Isaac.
Wings over Water by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 12 x 27” museum quality canvas giclée. Framing is available. Winter Run by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 12 x 36" museum quality canvas giclée. "This was my first painting of horses, but it certainly wasn't my last. I was inspired to capture their movement in the stark white environment of winter. As the horses galloped through the scene with the thick blanket of snow under hoof and the fine misting of snow in the air they seemed to be enjoying their winter run." Terry Isaac.
Winter Warrior by Terry Isaac. This is a 24 x 30.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "Bison are both strong and powerful. They were nearly hunted close to extinction during the 19th and 20th centuries, but have since rebounded. Their survival is impressive. I was inspired by this bison's almost "Viking-like look" - a warrior, able to take on the harshness and elements of winter." Terry Isaac.
Winter Wolf by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 9 x 12" museum quality canvas giclée. Wolf Song by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 20 x 30" museum quality canvas giclée. "Wolves intrigue me. They live in a sophisticated social system with an alpha male and female leading the pack. They are strong and intelligent and often work together as a team. As a group they can bring down a grizzly bear making them near the top of the food chain. They howl or "sing" for many reasons; to locate fellow pack members, to communicate and sometimes for the pure joy of making music, "wolf music". This painting is about the harmony they make in "wolf song."" Terry Isaac. Yosemite Dawn by Terry Isaac. This is a limited edition 13.75 x 32.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "I had been in Yosemite for a week and it had rained almost every day. On the day I was leaving I was up early packing and as the sun came up I realized that it was going to be a magical day. I rushed out to capture this background scene and obviously the week of waiting was well worth it ! This painting is more about the light than the animal subjects but they help give the painting its ethereal beauty." Terry Isaac.
Giclées are reproductions on canvas of original Terry Isaac paintings. They are professionally reproduced, and varnished for long-lasting quality, before being signed by Terry Isaac.
