"Originally I had planned to paint a cardinal with this floral scene, but once I started to paint it in I realized that it wasn’t going to work; the color scheme was wrong. I then opted to put in an Eastern Blue Jay and this worked much better with the colors of the flowers. The dramatic lighting on the flowers caught my eye and although Jays can be annoying and loud, they are beautiful birds and the combination is magical." Terry Isaac.
