Rufous and Rhodies by Terry Isaac. This is a limited-edition 7.5 x 16.5" museum quality canvas giclée. "I have for a long time been interested in the combination of birds and flowers as subjects for paintings. Because I don't have much of a green thumb, these "rhodies" were in my neighbor's yard - they were sunlit against dark vegetation- which is my favorite kind of lighting. I added the ruby throat as I thought it would add a softness to the scene. To imply movement I rendered the hummingbird with soft edges.
