I admire their markings, their jaunty feathered top knots and their movements as they scurry around on the ground. In the winter quail are gregarious. In spring and summer they become more solitary. Often a single male on top of a fence post or branch acts as guard and sentinel for the covey nearby. In the Okanagan, where I now live, both quail and orchards are prevalent so I wanted to re-release this piece as a giclée to capture the local wildlife." Terry Isaac
