Kindred Spirits by Terry Isaac. Limited edition 19.25 x 12.25" unframed, museum quality canvas giclée. The top of this totem pole is a “thunderbird.” Both thunderbirds and ravens have significance in First Nations and Native American culture. I saw this particular totem pole in Alert Bay, BC. It was carved by Willie Seaweed in the 1930’s. The thunderbird is a mythical creature, a supernatural bird with power and strength and I thought that the combination of it and a “real” bird would be a magical blend.
